D. Neil Lindner

	D. Neil Lindner, age 63, of Murphysboro, IL, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2004.
	Neil was born in Murphysboro, IL on February 28, 1940 the son of Clarence L. and Frieda (Anderson) Lindner.  He married Patricia McDonnough on April 18, 1964 in the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville, IL.  Neil was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was of the Baptist Faith.  He had retired from the Arch Coal Co. where he worked as a coal miner for over 25 years and recently worked for the Gilster-Mary Lee Corp. in Steeleville, IL.  Neil was a member of the U.M.W.A. and the Alma Masonic Lodge #497 in Steeleville, IL.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
	Survivors include his wife Pat Lindner of Murphysboro, IL, his mother, Frieda Lindner of Pinckneyville, IL, a son Marcus Lindner of Murphysboro, IL, a daughter, Angela Jung, husband Greg and children, Clayton and Aubrey, all of Altenburg, MO, a brother, Allen Lindner and wife Judy of Pinckneyville, IL, an aunt, Ruth Smith of Smithton, IL and numerous other relatives and friends.
	He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother, Roy Dwayne Lindner.
	Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark Lee and Rev. Paul Holder officiating.  Interment was in the I.O.O.F. City Cemetery in Pinckneyville, IL.
	Visitation was held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville on Friday, January 30, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 31, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. till 9:30 a.m. then at the church from 10:00 a.m. till services.   Masonic services were conducted by the Alma Lodge #497 on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.
	Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
